An impressive adaptation of Kapuściński’s famous book.
In Another Day of Life we get a look at the madness, the hope, the injustice and the idealism of the battle for independence in the Angola of the seventies. This difficult story is told in an beautifully lyrical combination of animation and real time documentary.
Kapuściński was one of the biggest contenders for the Nobel Prize for Literature as wel as the ‘reporter of the century. He was seen as a living legend for travelling to one of the most dangerous places, and coming back with beautiful reports and images full of never before seen atmospheres. His journey to Angola was his most personal and difficult one to date, and maybe ever.
