English Subs – The Banshees of Inisherin

The Banshees of Inisherin, a new film from director Martin McDonagh (In Bruges, Three Billboards Outside Ebbings, Missouri), follows good friends Padraic (Colin Farrell) and Colm (Brendan Gleeson) who find themselves in a difficult situation when Colm suddenly decides to end their friendship.

On the Irish island Inisherin the confused Padraic tries to rekindle his friendship with Colm. His sister Siobhan (Kerry Condon) is trying to help him. However, she has her own troubles with Dominic, the local policeman’s son. Events escalate when Colm issues a drastic ultimatum to make clear his intention to end the friendship.
