Jeunes Mères is the new film by two-time Palme d’Or winners Jean-Pierre & Luc Dardenne. In this moving and hopeful mosaic film, the Dardennes show how five young women want to fight for a better life for themselves and their child. Jessica, Perla, Julie, Ariane and Naïma stay in a mother and child house where they receive support as young (expectant) mothers.

Five teenagers, each with their own story and problems, but who find support in each other. Fighting for a better future is not always easy, but the mother house offers protection, warmth and solidarity. Jeunes Mères had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, where the Dardenne brothers won the award for Best Screenplay. The cast consisted mainly of non-professional actors.
