About La Grazia
Director Paolo Sorrentino (La Grande Bellezza) is back with his breathtaking new film La Grazia, which once again features Toni Servillo (La Grande Bellezza) in a powerful leading role. He plays Italian President Mariano De Santis, who has to make a few important decisions during his final term in office while also coming to terms with the loss of his wife.
President De Santis’ term in office is coming to an end. In the echoing halls of the presidential palace, he leads a lonely existence, mourning the loss of his wife. Before returning to normal life, De Santis must decide on two major issues that still lie ahead: pardons for controversial prisoners and an euthanasia law. His moral objections clash with human desires. What will be his legacy to his beloved Italy?
