About Mijn woord tegen het mijne
One in ten people hear voices. In Mijn woord tegen het mijne (My word against mine), named best Dutch documentary at IDFA, we meet five people living with this profound phenomenon.
The film takes the viewer into their world. They all undergo a revolutionary treatment in which their inner voices are no longer suppressed, but are instead invited to participate in the process. A psychiatrist engages in a direct dialogue with the voices. Who are they? Why are they there? What do they want? Step by step, an intense and meticulous journey unfolds in which confrontation and curiosity converge.
